I needed something a bit more comfortable (and believe it or not roomy) for my daily drive to work as well as something with less miles. I would like to keep this but the household's not having 4 cars!!
Purchased from a board member, has been dead nuts reliable. Please see link to the ad below...no CEL's, no ABS light, head gasket is not leaking, no tears in the seats, I do have a decent amount of receipts from the last 4 years or so (mine and previous owner's)...thanks guys...
So I've now owned this '97 3x locked TLC for about 6 months and it has been great, purchased from a fellow mud member. Completely rust free and in remarkable shape for the miles. I know this picture will make some of you cringe, being so clean and all (right after an 8 hour detail as it...
Unless it's a refreshed '14, the interiors are cheap...plus that 4.0L is so unrefined...its noisy and doesn't have the sack to haul that thing around the way it should.
I have both (at the moment) and my '05 Limited V8 is certainly the more modern of the two what with the IFS, XREAS and other such things. However, that said, I enjoy driving the LC more just because it feels like a proper SUV. It's an old school, AWD bruiser. You would think with the solid...
Guys - posting here because Slee wants to charge me a 15% restocking fee to return (not complaining that's just their policy). Will do this kit for $1,050 which includes shipping which is exactly what I paid when I got it 2 weeks ago.
I have decided not to install this kit since I like the...
Considering my current Nitto Terra Grapplers are not only LT, but nearly worn and have a screw in one, I am really looking forward to a brand new set of nice rubber. Couldn't begin to tell you the difference the Cooper AT3's made over the worn, dry rotted Michelin's that were on my 4runner.
Thanks! Like to find out details like that for #1. My grille is shot - the center area is chipping and flaking and the chrome surround is in poor shape too. With such a prominent area, I'd like to have it looking new!
Ok so I'll be posting up a build thread soon for my '97, but two questions (for now) have me thinking:
1. Why do some TLC's have the sombrero over on the left above the Full Time 4WD badge and others its in the center?
2. Anyone have experience with aftermarket front center grille...
Welcome! I just picked up a TLC with slightly higher mileage but also in freakishly fantastic condition (my "build" thread coming soon...). The no light for "D" is very common, no worries...I also have the brake pedal issue - feels soft and mushy. I am scheduled for service Friday and will...
Yes but if you want an iconic LC then the 80 is a better bet. The 100 and 200's just don't have that aura about them nor do they look as cool. As childish as that last part sounds, the 80 series is just so bad ass. However I do agree the roominess, power and larger size are nice with the 100...
