FWIW CarMax chopped $500 off the trade-in for my '22 since I didn't have the third row.
As soon as you start modifying, especially to the extent of mine, there isn't a dealer out there that wants to touch it as a trade in. It's going straight to the auction so a different dealer can deal with...
My little plastic trim piece that goes on the bottom of the Alibaba tail lights flew off on the highway... I'm not having any luck whatsoever trying to find a replacement.
.65 / 2 =.33 or roughly 10/32"
That's like the difference of a worn tire and a new tire on the same axle. For something just as a spare that's more than usable.
Should work in theory. Certain 32s have been stuffed up there. Getting a cheap "just get it home" 255/70R18 wouldn't really be out of the question if you wanted to mount it to a factory rim either. People get KDSS spacers to also help with spare fitment.
Victory Blitz bumper, 275/65R18 tires, lift, rock sliders, and ditch lights.
None of those were even a blip on the radar for fuel economy compared to the LFD crossbars. Those things killed it more than all the others combined by a pretty wide margin. Solid 2 MPG.
Finally. The heat gun suggestion that @r2m made worked. Plastic weld to attach. Don't look great but they sure look better than a gaping hole in the bumper.
Also, I drove a LC250 today, a 1958 trim. I love the interior in the LC way more than the GX 550. Physical buttons are the way to go...
By double-shear I meant the swivel. Double-shear attaches to the top and bottom of the swivel and single only attaches at one or the other, like yours.
Example of a double-shear hinge:
This is actually pretty pimpy. I'd still make it swing with the door instead of having a latch, as well as add some additional plating to make it a bolt-on product rather than a weld-on for frame attachment. My only real big gripe is the double heim joint for the hinge. Easy to maintain but I...
