Thanks to the forum once again for valuable shared knowledge here. I've had this exact nagging issue with the glove box door on my 2008 for several years, and now it's fixed in 10 minutes and zero cost. Brilliant!
My thanks to this incredible forum! The foglights on my 2008 mysteriously came on this week and drained the battery. I was bracing myself for a potentially long and expensive process of trial and error. But the info in this forum helped me get to the root cause right away. A clogged sunroof...
100%! My 2008 just had an mysterious issue with the fog lights coming on and draining the battery. The root cause was a clogged sunroof drain that diverted water down the driver's side A pillar into some of the electrical junction boxes. Note the blue corrosion in the pics below.
I routed mine under the front passenger seat. There's an easily-accessible opening in the carpet under the seat. I thread the Ecoflow cable into that opening and under the carpet towards the passenger side grommet. When I camp, I put the Delta 2 Max on the floor in the 2nd row.
When I'm...
To my surprise, I have an update for this thread. I recently had my AC recharged and my coolbox is suddenly working again after years of being switched off. Now, I'm wondering if low refrigerant pressure might have been the issue all along.
So, last night I tested things out in a parking lot. The only condition that caused any audible rubbing was being in reverse with the steering wheel turned all the way to the right. The contact point is at the front of the wheel well on the driver's side. At full turn, the corner of the tread...
I found there is contact between the tire and the bottom edge of the inner fender liner of the front wheel well on the driver's side. It happens when the steering wheel is turned fully to the right. I only hear the rubbing sound in reverse, but i imagine there must also be contact in drive...
You and I are on the same schedule. Yesterday, I got the same BFG 275/70r18 tires installed on my 2008 LC 200. Unfortunately, I heard some rubbing this morning when I backed out of my driveway with the steering wheel fully turned. Haven't had a chance to investigate yet.
Fair enough, but "need" isn't really the underlying concept for me. It's more about enjoyment and making the outdoors easier, more fun, and more frequent for my gang. If some gear makes a difference along those lines, then I look at it as money well spent. Getting away from ice-management has...
One more thing to add. Last night, we lost power at the house because a tree fell on a nearby power line. I quickly set up the Yeti/Fridge combo in the kitchen, and it has allowed us to keep our perishables cold. Very nice in a pinch and another vote for going the portable route. After 12...
I'm glad to see some activity in this thread! After a summer of experience with my setup, I have a few comments/learnings to share about my setup (GZ Yeti 400 Lithium, ARB 50, 120W Powerfilm panel).
1) Overall, I love the setup. Great ease of use and portability.
2) I mounted the Yeti on...
Thank you. I'm not sure a little added height would solve my problem. I settled for moving the slide about an inch farther into the vehicle. It's not perfect because when it tilts down it doesn't clear the drawers. I put a piece of aluminum angle on the top edge of the drawers to protect the...
Hmm. I'm trying to follow your setup, but I'm having some trouble mounting the AluCab tilting fridge slide to my KISS drawers. When I place the slide far enough back to tilt down without resting on the edge of the drawers, it interferes with the rear hatch. To fix the issue, it seems like I'd...
