I think that the repair shop got the dist one tooth off because the dist is full advance adjustment and still has no power any movement in the other direction kills the engine.
Yes I did I don't see any thing there also can't find a mark on the harmonic balancer. I don't have a shop manual but wanted to set the timing to 3-8 degrees BTDC. I know to jump the E1 & TE1 to get the engine into service mode, but just can't find the marks.
I have just got my 92 landcruiser back from the auto repair shop after they replaced the distributor. The car has no power you have to floor it to get to 40 MPH. I think that the timing needs to be reset It's either retarded or advanced so far that the knock senors are retarding it way too much...
I have been trouble shooting my sons 91 LC. It won't start and has no spark. I did the tests in the Service Manual and narrowed it down to the Distributor. It appears that the pick up coil is bad. The dealer wants $600 for a new Dist. Are there resources for a replacement Pickup coil out there?
