Land Cruiser ‘Land cruiser trim’ vs 6th gen 4R TRDpro. Which would you pick?

Here in the PNW I see 30 year old 4Runners daily being used as commuter vehicles. I would say a 4Runner, Prado, or anything else with a Toyota badge will easily last 25 years in a salt free environment.

Land Cruiser ‘Land cruiser trim’ vs 6th gen 4R TRDpro. Which would you pick?

Yeah the Trailhunter looks great but the TRD Pro has almost zero use for me. Id take a base over rhe TRD. But I would most likely just keep my 200 much longer because I am not really interested in anything without Full Time 4WD.

What is the rating of the front and rear towing/recovery hooks?

Im guessing that they meant the tie down loops on cars. Not the tow hooks on the front and rear of a Land Cruiser, 4Runner, or old gen Tundra. Those are load bearing and I have seen them used for recovery of deeply bogged vehicles all over the world. They don’t bend or break unless you do...

    Post 60k Toyota Dealership Service

Amen. I use the dealer for my 200 because i had enough of maintaining equipment - trucks, boats, airplanes, dozers, tractors, etc - when I was young. Id rather pay for a shop’s labor and let them deal with properly disposing of the replaced fluids. My time is better spent doing other things...

    5th gen 4 runner vs LC250

Why an EPA thing? I would think more likely cost.

    5th gen 4 runner vs LC250

Interesting. First I’ve heard of that but makes sense given the difference in engine outputs.

Your Thoughts on the LC 250?

Depends what you like. I honestly prefer my 60 with the original 2F as the near perfect vehicle. Pretty much stock - ancient ARB front bumper, factory original front and rear lockers, old BFG ATs, a Nakamichi CD deck in the dash installed in the early 90s - I don’t need most of the features of...

Your Thoughts on the LC 250?

The fact that it doesn’t have a carburetor. Or manual windows. Or leaf springs.

Your Thoughts on the LC 250?

Let’s be honest. So would a Subaru Outback.

Or make them work and buy their own cars. When they have to pay for their own maintenance and repairs they quickly pivot.

    LC200 Driver Seating

Ive driven a lot of cars and trucks. Other than Volvo (pre 2015) and recent Bentley, Land Cruiser front seats are the most comfy. But it is super objective. I’m 6’3” and a fit 200 lbs. Your mileage may vary.

    Article: Why the 200 Series?

Why the 200? It just works. Forever if well maintained. A little less if not. Same as the 100, the 80, the 60,... My 200 is 10 years old this fall. Never an issue over a lot of miles. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere with a moments notice. In the 10 years I have owned it I have...
