    No High Beams

Thanks for the replies! No specialty bulbs. I have had the Slee headlight harness for years. I cannot recall if the high beams are seperated from the low beams on that upgraded harness.

    No High Beams

Greetings: Looking for some guidance. When I activate the high beams either by pushing the stalk or pulling the stalk, I will get the dash light indicating that the high beams are on. However, they are not on and I am not getting voltage at the bulb socket. Since the dash light comes on, can...

SLEE upgrade harness and Aux harness hell

I remember having a similar problem in 2006. Does the Slee switch have an small lit LED bulb? If so, you may need to switch to an incandescent switch. From a thread in 2006: "I'll jump in here with the details of the problem Steve had in his ground switch, which I had the exact same...

    96 Flooding on Starting

I had a similar situation starting a cold engine in cold weather. Would crank, not start, then flood. With engine warm, no problem. Turned out my "summer oil" 15/40 was too thick for the cold weather and starter would crank slow as fuel was being dumped causing flooded condition. If cold...

    Rear suspension linkage bushing?

Greetings: I have been hearing some rattling coming from the rear somewhere. When I got underneath, I noticed there is about 3/8" play in the linkage in the picture I have attached. My question for my own knowledge is what is this linkage called, and should there be play in it or should there...

Don't ignore a dry spindle bushing!

There was no play in the wheel bearings. I think you are onto something though. I don't quite understand the physics of how a dry spindle causes the birf to move around in the cavity and activate the ABS. If this is the case, it explains everything. If someone can explain this, it would be...

Don't ignore a dry spindle bushing!

Spindle bushing went dry due to less than adequate job of reassembly/filling the birf cavity.

Don't ignore a dry spindle bushing!

Calipers and pads are in great shape. Grinding was positively spindle bushing related as evident by the cleaning and greasing I did a couple of days ago. Over 300 miles now and no grinding. Just at a loss as to how I can loose all brakeing during the grinding.

New High Idle when Warm Problem

Have you been using the cruise control? Same thing happened to me years back when exiting the highway after using the cruise control. Hasn't happened since. Steve 94' 280,000

Don't ignore a dry spindle bushing!

I did pull the sensor and saw no metal. Just a few brass dust particles in the bottum of the birf cavity. The loss of brakes happend at the exact time the grinding started and resumed full braking when the grinding stopped. I surmise that the grinding is the axel against the dry bushing. Can...

Don't ignore a dry spindle bushing!

Greetings: Been having the common symptons of a dry spindle bushing. Intermitant high pitched grinding coming from front end. Would last anywhere from a couple of seconds to up to 10 seconds. Not associated with speed or driving conditions. As weeks went by, it would happen more often. In...
