That's sort of how I did the one on my Bronco. The receiver tube is welded to the back of a 6" hot-rolled C-channel in line with a 2" rounded-square hole. It has held up to enough weight on the hitch hauler to lift a front wheel off the ground (though I didn't get a pic of that).

Well, if I ever see her cut her chest open & try to stick the remote batteries against her ventricle, I'll warn her about that. ;) Otherwise, I think a remote in the bathtub is reasonably safe. And the TV mount isn't coming down even if she uses it to stay up while slipping on the soap. Even...
2.5" inside square tube would be too loose, unless you fully-welded it. Most are just a ~0.5x0.25x10.25" strip wrapped around & tack-welded in a few spots.
It's within inches, depending on how you measure a curved tub at a 45° corner. The house was built almost exactly to-plan (just below center near the Right side):
Now that we're beating this dead horse, I think I remember now why it was allowed: it's not technically "over" the tub (although...
You didn't say how you're figuring MPG. Is your speedo calibrated? Have you ever checked it on a long trip against the mile markers or a stopwatch?
No, an exhaust leak (alone) can't cause THAT big a drop in MPG.
There were several things he passed that surprised me - some I think he missed, but they all got fixed anyway. But the tub was something I asked the electrician about before it was done, and he called the inspector to check before running the wires. No, I didn't pay any extra.
How exactly are you calculating MPG? The only time I've seen a vehicle actually getting THAT low, it was a 3/4-ton pickup towing a large travel trailer cross-country, and the fuel filter was loose, so there was a puddle of gas spilling off the intake manifold as it was driving.
This TSB & the...
Either buy a premade tube with that reinforcement; or cut a strip, wrap, & weld it on. It's not on the website now, but my local NT has a 4~5' receiver tube for ~$40.

On my mini-trailer, I used 3" tube for the tongue because that's what the...
How will all this dirt be moved out onto the house? Long-arm trackhoe? Crane with a clamshell bucket? I can't imagine the house is strong enough to hold up a skidsteer, even if it stayed over the walls between the domes.
Well, you could say it's the same as the Ridgid. And the Yost.
There's something to be said for that: the cost. How much did he have to pay to ship a ton of vise back & forth?
It's +12V in up, but BOTH wires are used for running the window up. ...and both are used running the window down. Only the polarity reverses to make the motor run up or down. So it's not really accurate to call either the "up" wire or "down" wire.
