I have searched but I can't seem to find much on this part for the earlier 40's. I'm looking for a new windshield spacer/seal for my '65 40, but all I can find are for 1969 and newer. Just looking at what is available, the obvious difference between those and my old spacer/seal is that my old...
I am in the process of refurbing my heater box and installing a later heater core in a '65 FJ40. I used a Four Seasons 91659 that fits '68 and newer.
I started by wrapping the top, bottom and sides of the heater core with adhesive backed 1/4" closed cell rubber foam. The foam came from...
Thanks for all of the pics! Do you have a pic of the other end of that rubber brake hose shown in your last photo? I think that's the last piece of the brake line puzzle for me.
I already have that double junction that mounts to the top of the frame. Based on your post, I guess there is a mounting tab on the frame, as I suspected, for the brake hose that runs to the top of the axle. Thanks for the link
I am trying to mimic the '78 plumbing since I'm running' 78...
Thanks for that pic! I obviously had no idea it was a junction block. Is that guard a stock part?
Now that I know where it goes, does anyone have a pic of the junction block or a good description of what it looks like?
I have a '65 40 with a '78 drivetrain that I'm upgrading the entire brake system on. It looks like there should be a mounting point somewhere on the frame for the front brake hose that runs from the frame to the front axle. My' 65 doesn't have anything on the front part of the frame to secure...
The Sniper is set up like a 2bbl carb. The adapter plate that it bolts to is open. The spacer is directly beneath the adapter plate. Here are pics of each...
Everything above and below the spacer is open (plenum & adapter plate). Only the spacer is 2bbl, so that's why I was thinking about opening up the spacer.
I'm getting ready to install a Mosley Holley Sniper kit on my '78 2F and was wondering if I should open up 2bbl phenolic spacer to match the intake opening or leave it as is. The adapter plate that came with the kit is completely open and sits on top of this spacer. I'm inclined to open it up...
I'm looking for the dual 90* brake line junction that mounts on the front passenger frame rail (see pic) as well as the rear axle brake line junction. These would be for a '78 FJ40. Thanks!
