Rear Heavy Duty Swaybar owners got links that last?

I've installed my LCP brackets, what a great product! Had to raise them as high as possible and the sway bar doesn't quite reach the same level as the stock one. Immediately the rear end felt tighter and more controlled. Also installed a whiteline sway bar. Question @LandCruiserPhil - I have...

Window Rocket - who’s tried it?

Looks like I am good to go then as I don't have the springs on the pedal correct? From googling it seems the pedal assist is mounted to the clutch pedal arm hence the interference.

This is so clean and well done it looks almost factory (with upgrades of course)!

    Interior Upgrades and Aesthetics

Looks great, really like the deletion of the pleated inserts and chrome. That's a must for me now. Well done on the gun storage. If I start carrying something that I use all the time, I will create some inserts as well. I am thinking a basic metric tool set in a hard case would be a good start.

    Interior Upgrades and Aesthetics

I am looking for ideas or upgrades mudders have done to the interior of their cruiser. Things like different steering wheels, vinyl colors, door card upgrades, center console wraps, new materials etc. While I'm currently working on the mechanical side of things on my rig, I am looking to start...

NOLA- A Build Story...that goes Diesel
    Engine: Bushing time!

Summer is a time in the northwest to paint parts. With humidity down to a much more reasonable 25%, painting in a day or two with primer is a real treat. That means I can pull off parts, rebuild, and have them back on the truck within a few days. My goal for the rest of the summer is to get...

    Mag's poor man 1HD-FTE dream.

You will never, never, regret this decision. EVER. One item I would humbly recommend to change in your build is the stock clutch and flywheel. I went with the NPC one from HD Automotive in Australia. Granted I am running a pretty high boost set up on my 1HDFT but I was pleasantly surprised...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

You know, I've factored in and calculated the hours to wire brush, prep, prime & paint and the downtime because I still work full time and have a toddler, and I guarantee you it's worth it. Not to mention it's pretty thorough. And there is no way I could clean up the hoses and electrical wires...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Yeah I thought it was a 2 hour job..... turned into 8. The tough part for me was aligning to the A pillar.

1HD-FTE Conversion - Creating my perfect 80 Series

Another option for a guage is this one: https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/madman-ems3/ I like it alot and have it for my 1hdft. Bonus is that you can data log, it has a low coolant sensor, boost, egt, engine temp and oil temp, rpm, service hour counter and alarms for when you approach...

1HD-FTE Conversion - Creating my perfect 80 Series

@MooseMichaels You will want to hunt around the various toyota dealerships. I think you can get one for around $2600 before shipping. Part number is 33030-60C51. Thats the newer model with the taller 5th gear

1HD-FTE Conversion - Creating my perfect 80 Series

I'm on 4.10 gearing with just under 33s and running 75 mph at about 2900 rpm with an h151 and the FT. Although next month I'm going up to true 35s. I can't say this enough but there is zero chance that I would ever run an auto. Just the power loss and selectability when wanting to add power or...

1HD-FTE Conversion - Creating my perfect 80 Series

I don't have a FTE but I do have the FT and a H151 Transmission. I would without a doubt only do a manual transmission. I have used 1st gear down many steep grades and it put zero wear on the brakes while being able to shift in anticipation of mountain passes and climbs. Its easier and a...
