Yeah I know the feeling lol. This was up on the Mcleay River. We've also been up on the Boyd river around Dalmorton, it's top spot also.

I'm not sure what the attraction is about 35s on zero offset rims? Just baffling. Lol. But, if you're going to do it, this is definitely the better way to do it. Well done. 👍 Those reduction gears are also a very good idea. Well done again. 👍

Yeah so far they've been great, nothing negative to say about them. Certainly no harshness or noise that polly bushings get blamed for. And even if they don't last as long as the rubber ones, it will be much easier job when I do need replace.

Well, 35mm lift in the front is about the max on factory shocks you can go, same said for all the general after market shocks such as OME and Ironman, these all have the same length front shocks as factory, give or take 5mm. Though, plenty of people still insist on a 2.5" lift with such kits...

Yep, it's secret 1hd-fte business. Lol.

I think I did this mod before the lockers, but here it is, Emu wing side opening doors, to replace the back side windows. So good for accessing the gear in the back while camping. My wife says it's life changing. Lol The installation is a total pain! Sorry this is the only pic I could find of...

Locker switches mounted here. Compressor switch here. I used to have a cheap no name compressor that serverd me well for 4 years but it was a bit slow at airing up tyres on the trails, so I eventually ended up with TJMs new style single piston compressor, it's a big improvement over the old...

Tough Dog suspension help rides ROUGH!

Oh dude! You definitely need to drop some hight out of her, you need double that amount of droop! No wonder it's a bad ride. This is why most 2" lift kits arn't really 2" lift kits! Lol. It's such a misunderstood thing with these ifs 100s. Get some longer shocks is my advice. It's a bloody...

Yeah never the ball joints but it's perfectly acceptable to use the shocks as the limit. The key here is to have a minimum of around half of your total available suspension travel as droop, the droop is measured from your ride hight, this is so you're not constantly topping out your shocks...

Yep, that's exactly what I get with my Blackhawk UCA's. I've seen those Dobinsons shocks set at 8mm longer than the arms allow. Certainly best ti always check them like you have already done.

I think most aftermarket UCAs are similar in that regard, however, I think some of the extended length Dobinsons are put together on a Friday. Lol Out of curiosity, what UCAs are you using and what was the open length of your Dobinsons?

Just before I was about throw the front diff back in, I noticed my steering rack was leaking... bugger! Oh well, I figured it was easier to replace it while the diff is out, I guess. Another reason I like doing s*** myself, most mechanics would ignore it and tell you about once it's all back...

Tough Dog suspension help rides ROUGH!

Yeah be careful with some of the Dobinsons shocks, I've seen them coming out with a little too much length, had an argument with them over it about 12months ago. The shocks must be the component that limits the down travel, not your ball joints! Was like talking to idiots.

You can see it has a much simpler air actuator design than the silly ARB units have. No unreliable orings to fail. Ready to go.
