Run my 3b up to 2200-2300 before shifting. it will be happy pulling a hill at 2100rpm, though im normally in 4th as my bj60 is a 5 speed. maintaining 70mph calls for 2600rpm, and it doesnt sound happy. About 2800 the noise changes....as the valves start floating.

I inherited 2 BJ60s when i was 14, one was a parts truck, and the second a 1985 starting to rust good runner with 250000km. I drove the 85 for 6 years, still have it, it now is too rusty to drive on the road but it gets used around the farm. Currently has 375000km. Keeping that truck running...

Run 10w-30 year round up here, 475xxx and counting. She starts easy if plugged in down to -32C (the coldest ive tried).
