Side note, about two months after I got the parts from Yam6 and this whole thing was in my rearview mirroer, I got a bill from FedEx on behalf of the US Gov't. Part of importing this stuff from Europe is paying the tariff(?) on it...I think it was about $20...so budget for that!

Yam6 customer here. I had the dreaded ABS and godawful sirens a few months ago. Ordered a pump/accumulator from ebay from Yam6 and got it quickly. Installed it myself in a really looooong afternoon (rookie moves on my part...[take lots of pictures]) and then bled the brakes. LC drove...

@Dallas99, my new pump from Yam6 is working great. Very quiet with no mechanical noise whatsoever. The only hiccup was the ABS alarm the day after the dealership did the full system bleed. It happened once and hasn't returned since. I'm still terrified it'll come back, but it's been a month...

As another data point, I have a 2004 that is clean and rust free 130k miles. I started hearing a mechanical sound from the MC area more and more often (normally just after startup for a minute or so) this happened for about a year and then the dreaded ABS alarm started going off occasionally...

This is really interesting! Good luck. I'm no safe expert but I remember a fascinating video I saw a few months ago. Look for "Richard Feynman's way of safe cracking." It's on wimp.com as one source. If you are not sure the combos you have are correct, the Feynman method might help you...
