In the interest of adding to the sample size - I've owned my 97 LX450 since 2010 and I've got about $16,500 in purchase cost and necessary repairs/upkeep....and another $4500 in "unnecessary" additions/expenses :) If you're on this site enough, it is very difficult to avoid "unnecessary" expenses.

Don't have much to say that hasn't already been said on this site, but after reviewing my 97 LX450 cost spreadsheet my "must spend" costs on non-mod, non-pm items stands at about $2500 including parts and labor. These are items that would have stranded me or made life difficult to continue using...

Thanks to everyone for the advice/comments. I am meeting with a guy tomorrow who has a shop and is involved in the LC community down here so hopefully he'll be able to take care of my installation needs. It's not as if this was a major set back, it was more of a let-down as I had wanted to try...

I agree. I think my suspension is shot and unfortunately, I'm dependent on a shop to install everything as my apartment doesn't have space for wrenching. I was expecting the tires to fit with plenty of space. I guess they should have if the stock suspension was still stock height. On a side...
