If it was simply due to flexing, how would welding prevent the same damage? The comparison being made is bolts vs welding. Are you saying the bolts flexed?
I have a couple of cable locker axles waiting to be installed myself, also missing the linkage. I do however have the levers that go in the cab. My plan was to use a Teleflex, or something similar for the linkage.
Can't tell you exactly how do that yet because it is simply in the queue and...
I don't get why you guys are worried about a low idle. That's a good thing. A vacuum leak would make it less likely to idle well at lower RPM. FSM states that "standard" idle speed is 650 RPM in park, no AC. With AC 900 - 1000.
The problem is that the electrical system on these things is...
Unless you then have an alternator problem while driving. Everything tied together with no protection for any piece.
To each his own. I'll take isolation every time.
Actually I believe they are FETs configured as ideal diodes. Slight difference, but the important thing is they are solid state and hence no contacts to wear out and do not cause the same voltage drop that real diodes do, while providing true isolation. Relays do not isolate when closed...
IR toaster oven.. less than $50 and you have your reflow oven.
preheat to 100 degrees for a short time. then crank it up to 450 degrees (both top and bottom heat sources on) and stay put watching the progress. less than 3 minutes and you will see the solder paste become shiny before your eyes...
I am not familiar with this particular unit so take this with a grain of salt.... but. if they are truly diodes that separate the batteries form the alternator, the alternator has nothing to excite it to make current. Once it starts and is running, it will provide the voltage to excite itself...
yep. sounds like it is out of the "track". On mine, the rubber window track is pretty stiff and I am missing the inner weather seal. So if I am careless the window will get knocked out of alignment. When that happens, I need to pull the top of the window gently inward until it reaches about a...
Like the FSM says out the top/front engine/tranny/T-case all together.. and solo is possible, that's how I did mine, with a pos harbor freight hoist.
like elbert said. remove the hood, radiator, top cross member and grill. The FSM manual is very complete and if you can read it gives you every...
Here's a pic of a sheet of surface mount boards I made with this method. There are 43 identical circuits. Resistors are 1206 footprint transistors are SOT-23. to avoid having to drill holes, there are pads for wires to be soldered to. So these boards have a combination of fine and wide traces...
I've had good luck on sunny days. Two minutes. Summertime, one minute exposure. Clouds really do affect the needed exposure time. ~2-4 X and I have not gotten good results on cloudy days.
The good thing about the photo sensitive stuff is once you have your mask making multiples is a piece if cake.
