My FJ60 is finally back from the shop and running. The igniter was not bad, although the one I bought to replace it was....which made figuring out the ignition problem even easier:doh: Just bad bearings in the dizzey. Now it runs OK but the timing is really retarded even with the dizzy rotated...

Ya the h42 will be slow on the highway but it is a good "place holder" for an h55f in my 87' fj60 and will at least get me rolling for 1500$ less. I've got 3.73's and 33" tires so it should be just like the 1980's 55mph and enjoying the ride....

Expensive experiment....Or just another couple hundred bills for a "fresh" H150f from the pick and pull.;) I am still curious as to what kind of milage you are getting with that engine tranny combo in the 55. Did you happen to measure how long the engine with the swapper ring and AA housing...

Carbon post on the dizzy burned up....replaced the dizzy cap......it cooked again and now DOA in the driveway. At least it made it the 400miles home from Sidney (thats MT not AU). Anybody got a spare they'd like to unload? Thanks, Michael

Just picked up a really nice belleview #6000 winch for <100$! Looks like it was in a garage it's whole life, the brake is like new, the instructions on the motor are readable, case is clean, and the cable is only unevenly wound for the first 20ft or so the rest looks like it is new. Not badly...
