Honestly? I'd rather light my money on fire than buy a 30 year old truck sight unseen. I've done it before from auctions, ebay, craigslist, etc and done OK but not with these trucks. Even honest sellers don't know that Toyotas need more than oil changes over their lifetime. I have had...
That's happened to me twice now over the years (was never foul play lol) in two different vehicles. Caught it before the wheel fell off in both cases. Fatigue can happen for any number of issues. Glad everyone is ok and I'm sure you'll change out all your lug studs.
You folks realize that $25k in the Bay Area is like $10k everywhere else? I think they pay $8 per gallon for regular. A regular coffee is $5 and people abandon their Tesla's on the side of the road when they run out of battery power. I think kids get an Iphone 4 minutes after they are born there.
It's super easy to go Copart sites to inspect vehicles. Better know what you are looking at because you can't move them or take them offsite to have a pro look at them. The ones that are actually repairable expect a good bidding war.
I'm here to inform you that fluids "burn" and deteriorate over time. There doesn't need to be a leak for fluid levels to be low. You should check all fluid levels when buying a used vehicle. Especially one 30 years old. Differentials, transfer case, transmission, brake fluid, blinker fluid...
D light is out, no wonder it was junked. ;)
Someone must have gotten a seriously good insurance payout to let go of that truck, even with the high mileage.
You are considering going from a very very slow vehicle to a slow vehicle so that seems like a nice upgrade. The added bonus is the LC will survive a major impact when your VW probably will be a mess. The engine in the back will still be good to transfer to the next VW though...
Stop guessing. The answer is in your 2nd photo. You need to reconnect the original circuit. Not much different than factory alarm removal. It's 90s technology. Get a voltmeter and learn the basics of 12v auto electronics. Certain things have constant power, and certain things have power...
Washed some winter grime of the Land Cruiser. Did the same for the bicycles.
I love the reliability of a quality vehicle. Kind of like the 20 year old road bicycle I washed. Just racks up 1000s of miles and replace the wear items as needed. Should last forever.
Ok, just like in this image I'm suspect.
Title says NGK, brand says NGK, then below it calls it NTK
NTK is not NGK so what is it? Some Chinese knockoff of NGK which is either US or Japanese made
