thanks for the suggestions. changed the steering damper and both bushings. i took it to a local mechanic and he's leaning towards rebuilding the knuckles.

man a fre looked at it and their suggestion was to replace the shocks and the pan rod bushing. Both were replaced.

it was out about .8 degrees, so the caster correction reduced it to .4. it seemed to help a little

it seems to occur when i hit a bump or depression on side of the vehicle. almost like an undamped side to side oscillation.

if the knuckles were leaking and worn, would this cause a shimmy? i have new ome-low height heavy springs, bilstein shocks, pan rod bushings, caster correction, steering damper, wheel bearings, alignment, sway bars, tire and wheel balance. i'm running out of ideas for the cause and solution...

thanks tyler. this may be obvious, but i'm not sure i understand. what is the difference in a 10" wheel with no spacers and an 8" wheel with 1.5" spacers? is their a performance advantage that the spacers provide over a wider wheel? jw

Thanks for the feedback kalawang and matt 105. any reason for using the spacers? my understanding was that spacers changed the weight centering and can cause troubles in suspension and bushing wear, is this correct? jw
