    80 series caster problem

We are having the same difficulty with death wobble. We installed an OEM 3” lift kit by the book; we relaxed and measured to ??properly?? Set the OEM offset bushings. I know the caster is currently -1/2*. I believe I can rotate the offset bushing to gain some offset; were you able to get to 6*...

I hope so, all depends on kids sports stuff. Is there a date out there? I’m also anxious to go down and do The Loop at the lake.

What have you done to your 4x4 lately 2021?

Yea the HS auto shop teacher gave up on it. I had sent an email because it’s been sitting for nearly 2 years. It’s ROUGH, out of my league for work required but a ton of parts and complete. White LC back on the road and about to head out for a float trip!

What have you done to your 4x4 lately 2021?

Another big weekend of tinkering! We chased down a blown fuse for the EFI, went ahead and swapped the fuel pump, changed the vacuum hoses on the fuel regulator, put the rear interior back together, and scored an abandon 80 series project for a song!!

What have you done to your 4x4 lately 2021?

So today we took apart the passenger door and repaired the regulator mechanisms . What I assumed was going to be stripped gears was simply a knuckle coming out of a track-ball, reinserting the glass in the drive frame gasket, and modestly straightening the inner most track frame. It was a good...

    Recommended KC area alignment shops?

We put the 2.5 OME lift and Panhard's on our rig this weekend. I just called Burnett's. Super friendly and not intimidated at all. He quoted me $115 for 1yr and $175 for 3yr alignment warranty....How does that work given the nature of environments these vehicles get thrown at! Anyway, another...

What have you done to your 4x4 lately 2021?

Another 80 Series saved from the crusher! We are so happy to report that it is back on the road. We got it buttoned up just before our son’s 17th Birthday. We can’t wait to catch up at a meet and talk shop about all the work we tried to do and all the work we had done. Still have the lift to do...

Well it has been a minute.....well 2 years but we are finally gaining....the replacement & rebuilt engine now has dedicated attention towards reassembly and the drivetrain should go back in very soon.....then all the other stuff should go on soon after. Not that a broken LC should keep me away...
