Ok, thanks. It is a sealing surface so I wanted to verify ok to cut before proceeding.

It lines up well against the transmission, all the bolt holes line up. Just both rails interfere with that sealing surface in the photo. That is why I was wondering if I could cut that down without any ill consequences, vs cutting the shift rails (Al is easier to cut than steel). It is a 21...

The rail does not line up with the relief. It is hitting on the sealing surface ridge I have circled in red.

My 1985 4Runner. 1UZ swap. Advance Adapters RF1A case to R150f adapter. The transfer case shift rail hits the tailshaft housing - see photos. Has anyone run into this issue? Can I just notch that section out to clear the transfer case shift rail?

Ah...that explains why no updates recently. I have been following your 3RZ swap thread. I've been so wishy washy about the swap. Wrapping my head around swapping in a 4 banger for another 4 banger (even though night and day difference) has been difficult.

About the pull the trigger on a 3RZ swap in my 1985 4Runner. Looking for a well running 3RZ.

Anyone in the Portland/Vancouver area who can do a cut and turn for a SOA for a 40? I was going to ship the housing to Cruiser Outfitters, but wanted to check local before going through the hassle of shipping the housing.

Bump...looking for 40 front axle only, 69+

Need a complete front axle for my 1965 FJ40, prefer one with factory disc brakes, but will take a 69+ FJ40 axle since it can be converted to disc.

What year 40 are the axles from? Front disc brakes?
