Thanks Mate - I'm that kinda stupid person to try it. Do you have pictures of what it looks like with the head liner off? I'm sure there are some in here somewhere!

I have run such wires, but with the headliner off. I think the chances of doing this with the headliner on would be zero, but I'm prepared to be impressed if someone has done it!

Looking for experience ideas about pulling wire through the head liner to the dash. GOAL - I would like to pull three 22g wires through the headliner above the windshield. Up through where the rear-view mirror bolts to the roof, over to the...

How is this different from a mirror? Because I've been wondering the same. Mt first thought was that it would be super annoying but on thinking about it more seems so like a mirror that you'd just get used to it?

I have a pioneer DMH-WT3800NEX in my van. It allows 2 cameras, and selectable always on with easy switching between front and rear camera in my case. I like to keep the rear camera on when towing b/c I have no rear windows. It will put it in a...

When the IGN (typically red) lead has power cut by switching off your truck (or the typical circuits that cut power as the engine is cranked), it'll witch off the stereo. Solution is to have a constant hot lead running through a fuse and switch...

This video shows how to wire a small capacitor to your stereo to stop it from switching off during cranking. I had a similar issue with a pioneer stereo my FJ 60. Once I wired this up never a problem again. Its also smaller then a AA battery so...

That’s a big ass capacitor, I’ve never seen that needed to keep a stereo on thru cranking. There must be another issue with the voltage dropping so low it kicks off the stereo

H55 to FJ62 wiring: Engine side <---> transmission / transfer case side About 15 minutes of wiring for the swap. Note: I snipped and removed the 4 Low switch wiring, this allows the FJ62 to operate in 2wd low range if desired (like a twin...

Dudes - Got the stereo installed and it works great. I like what I bought. Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX and Pyle 6.0 Farad Digital Power Capacitor, dual battery setup (not sure this matters). PROBLEM - Stereo reboots when the engine is started. Pain...

I finally got around to this today. For some reason, the wiring wasn't working with the wiring up front, but when I tied it directly to the bulb wiring at the tail light housing (to the same wire), everything was Kosher. Go figure! Thanks for...

I have these three wires coming into the stereo area. I assume they are pos, neg and ground? And that’s exactly the question. Can you guys help? 1) these are part of the original 1987 FJ60 wiring harness. 2) at some point the stereo worked...

AH HA! So it would make sense if only one of those wires was used and a ground was pulled elsewhere!? That’s make sense to me. Would have been smart to get out the voltmeter about two hours ago 👀🙄🤪

The new stereo unit only needs 12v+ and 12v- (ground). Connect a voltmeter to those mystery wires and see what you've got.
