275/70/18 Ridge Grapplers installed. Though the 275 should be narrower than the Stock 285 Dunlops, you can tell they appear thicker. No rubbing with testing (so far). Added exactly 1” height all around at 40psi
I think I’ll go with the RG over KO2s. Same price. The KO2 has a speed rating of 106 vs RG 99. Not sure how that will affect handling at higher speeds (75-85 mph) but I doubt the difference in rating will make a difference.
An update: My dealer initially gave me the “it should already be installed” statement but looked into it further. They are quoting $120 for the spacer and 1.7 hours per side. He says they are going off time required to replace a strut. Total labor is $420
Looks good! Do you have OEM front coil spacers installed? Also, how are these on the highway (noise & ride)? The speed rating of 99mph vs stock Dunlops concerns me a bit even though I’m usually an “under the limit” driver. Haha
I’m planning on having my local dealer install the set of spacers. My concern is that the dealer tech wont properly adjust the KDSS during install. Will there be any immediate signs of improper install to look out for? I’d prefer going through the dealer (2017 under warranty).
If they had a cap I’d order a set today. I like those Ridge Grapplers too. I had 35 trails on my Tundra and while they were great tires they were too noisy on long highway trips.
I’m curious to see if anyone is running 275/70/18 Ridge Grapplers with stock suspension. I know that KO2 in this size fit without rubbing but Nitto apparently runs a bit larger in some of their tires.
I recently bought the Yakima Showcase 20. We’re currently on a 3000 mile road trip and it’s proving to be a great addition.
