iv'e driven a few hzj80's around here and im looking to buy one-only 5 speeds were available here, so i can't compare to the auto, but i thought they all had great acceleration for.. what they are. (and they are awesome!)
there are also few threads on the board from about propane injection...
love them ramchargers!
for me, my 2007 durango is still smooth and rattle free after 1 1/2 years. the hemi is an awesome motor. i think the build quality is very good. mind you, it hasnt been off the pavement.
also, it gets 25-26 mpg at around 100-110 km/hr with i the cylinder deactivation...
do you find your mileage is affected by what type of used waste oil product you scavenge to mix with your diesel? like say if you used oil from frying fish vs. chicken? or peanut oil vs. say, corn or sunflower oil. or does running a tank of flaxseed oil every few months keep the pipes clean...
i say go for it. do the LHD swap and work the rest of it around that. it would suck to do all that other stuff and still have a rig you dont enjoy driving. besides, it certainly won't hurt the value, IMHO.
that said, im glad my 43 is LHD already:flipoff2:
here in saudi the only 70 series diesel available new is the pickup with a 1hz, 200s are available with the V8 diesel T.T., prados with the 3.0 diesel.
they don't sell many of any of them. petrol is king here.
