Wow, I didn't know about the 3L not needing an alternator. That's pretty nifty. Anyone know where I can order parts for these engines stateside? I've looked up rebuild kits for them online and can't find much unless it's out of Australia.

Hello all, I am new to the diesel world. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and have been wanting a diesel Hilux for awhile now. Alas, I am only able to ship the engine by itself to the States (due to customs restrictions.) Plan is to put it into a 4x4 Tacoma or Tundra around year 2000...
