So my son graduated high school and turned 18 in the past week so we are celebrating with a cross country trip in his 92 fj80!! We departed Aspen, Co this morning heading east with only The vaguest of plans. The truck has a mere 317,000 miles on it. Fly fishing, camping, and the world’s biggest...

I hate the stinkbug look. Get a set of add-a-leafs from 4wheelparts. The $35 is worth the risk. I'm running them on all four corners and I really like the ride.

Ditto. My 85 stock (desmogged) 60, 4 speed on 32s gets 15 on the highway, 13 around town. But I drive like an old man.

I installed a pair of seats out of a 2000s Honda 2 door sporty car. The brackets worked with a little modification (into my '85 FJ60). It's very comfy. Because it has bolsters (helpful off road), I have to duck my head to get into and out of the truck. But I'm solid 6' tall and I've got plenty...

And though it looks really complicated, it's actually a straightforward job. Not a quick job, but not very hard either. Just messy and time consuming.
