I have heard the same thing from a several people I know at a Lexus dealership as far back as 2009. People come over, buy a LX570 and ship it to wherever. Apparently its an issue for the dealerships when selling a new car. I think Toyota gets cranky when that happens.

There is a video on youtube from Toyota (in Japanese) that compares the 100 to the 200 as far as frame strength and a lot of other things are concerned. I don't know what they are saying, but you can see the difference. I'll try to find the link....

I have 305/70/16 BFG KM2s on my 2001 LX with roughly 40K miles on the tires. Lately I have been having issues with balancing them. It seems to be one tire that is the problem. Its on the rear and causes a noticeable shaking at 30-40MPH, as I speed up the shaking almost goes away completely...
