rebuilding clutch slave
I rebuilt mine 3 times over the years, honing the cylinder each time. But it ended up rusting each time, until I packed lithium grease into the dry side of the piston behind the boot to block moisture from contacting the cylinder walls.
This unmolested FJ40 is all original except for the rims but has a lot of body rust.
The rear tub has significant rust through as do the foot well floor panels. Some miscellaneous other rust through on doors, RR quarterpanel. Firewall looks reasonably OK.
