To swap or not to swap

You are certainly not the only one!!! I realized a long time ago I am better off paying a pro to do it as long as I can afford it. If I cannot afford professional help, that's my clue that I did not really need it in the first place.......

To swap or not to swap

Obviously, the cost is a Con. Other than that, it’s all Pros, especially when you touch the Go pedal.....!

To swap or not to swap

Go to Desert Toy Shop in Mesa, www.deserttoyshop.com, talk to Mike, the owner or Matt, the mechanic who will be doing the swap. Right now they are finishing a white 62 with a crate 6.2 and are re-gearing mine that has a L83 5.3 and 6L80 they did a year and a half ago. they know what they are...

Riding the (Australian) rails in style

This is awesome but what do you do once you catch the train? I feel like that dog chasing cars down the street, with no idea what I would do if I ever caught one..... JK, great video!

    Lift/Re-gear in Phoenix

Desert Toy Shop in Mesa did the gears and OME lift on my 89 FJ62 and the OME lift on my 2016 Tacoma. Before I found them, I had SDHQ in Gilbert do the Nitro gears on the Taco. Very happy with both.

    Cruiser Shops

If you are like me and know that you lack the skills and tools and are better off paying a real mechanic in a real shop to do it perfectly the first time (or stand behind their work and warranty it every time...), I use Desert Toy Shop in Mesa. They do everything for me from big jobs like the...

    Desert Toyota.

@murf does that mean that Riverview can service, and repair when needed, my 89 FJ62 with a L83 V8 and 6L80 transmission? Tom built it....!

    Desert Toyota.

Desert Toy Shop, US60 and Mesa dr. So much better than a dealership for parts and service, on new and old Toyotas. Real mechanics, they just don’t have the pirate ship, cafe and hairdresser shop in house, if that’s what you are looking for...

After 10years of not having a FJ40 I finally got another one

Beautiful!!! Desert Toy Shop in Mesa (US60 and Mesa Dr) did the L83 and 6L80 swap on my FJ62. They are way cool and Matt can diagnose / fix/ fine tune anything.

    Anyone Camping during Curfew?

Unless you are camping in the lawn in front of the Capitol building or a courthouse, I cannot imagine any law enforcement officer coming for you. Driving to and from your campsite during curfew hours might be an issue.
