    Meet "Ditch"

Does peeing on my foot while cooking dinner count?.... A few more pics for you. The pug was very curious and our ridgeback is very patient and gentle.

    Meet "Ditch"

Got a call from the wife Friday morning about some pups in the road near the house. I got there as fast as I could and found two deceased one on the roadside, and this lil guy hiding in the grass in the ditch. No momma around, searched the cornfield a bit for others but found none We think some...

Bad experience boarding with our vet

I agree with you about the phone call, as minor as it may be they still provided a treatment and you should have been made aware of it. As far as the symptoms go- our ridgeback ate some bugs last week- which our four year old supplied him- apparently ladybugs are nasty. He foamed for an hour...

whats the law on big bumper for a 60

I did some prowling on the Va state police website and found nothing regarding bumper depths, only heights. Unless you go way over the top and cover up safety devices, I don't think you'll have a problem adding some depth. Just my 2cents

whats the law on big bumper for a 60

I'm not sure there is a number set on that. I know there certainly are ground to bumper numbers. Take some measurements from some utility body work trucks if you come across any- I've seen plenty here in Va that easily stick out 14" from the rear box panels, which is plenty of space for storage...

    Air Intake Riser

Thank you D. I am not in an emissions testing area but am hesitant to go fully desmogged at this time. I just need to get it back on the road. If I plug the holes, what options do I have for plugging the hose which ran from it to ? Not sure where it leads yet?

    Air Intake Riser

It is part number 20 on this diagram. I tried working around it in my attempt to pull the intake/exhaust manifold. My big hands and limited tool selection didn't allow me access, so I decided o remove it. I soaked the nuts multiple times with cleaner to free them up, and everything was fine...

    Air Intake Riser

What is their purpose? Is it a necessary part? I royally screwed up and destroyed mine while replacing my manifold gasket. I don't think they are made anymore. Any thoughts on a replacement source? A friend has a couple of 40's which I should be able to grab one off of if need be, but I'd rather...

87 FJ60 rough running, bucking at mid RPM'S

Update- I have replaced all of the vacuum lines, fuel filter and air filter. I checked the idle solenoid on the carb and it clicks when it should, so I am ruling this out. No change in idle speed with carb cleaner sprayed at carb base, but there is a noted- not drastic- change when sprayed at...

87 FJ60 rough running, bucking at mid RPM'S

Okay, so all of the vacuum hoses have been replaced with the exception of the three that run along the carb on the engine side of the carb. When started and given gas the truck runs well, which it was not before. It still idles roughly @ 600 RPM, bouncing in a rough idle until it dies. I am...

87 FJ60 rough running, bucking at mid RPM'S

I also have another question- I am half way through the hose swap, nothing has changed yet. By chance I dropped my knife and noticed as I picked it up that the seam on my muffler is blown wide open leading me to wonder if back pressure could cause this- or lack thereof I should say. And one...
