I misidentified some of what i was looking at obviously. After reading yall's comments and researching install videos, I went and took some more pics. After rolling the truck off the flatbed, the UCA is kind of re-aligned and no longer resting against the manifold shielding. So its easier to...
Broke a UCA long bolt. Luckily it happened in a Home Depot parking lot near home, and not along Big Bend's Old Ore Road (or any of the other remote roads) last week! Control arm end (bushing housing?) rammed into exhaust manifold, as far as I can tell. Hopefully no damage there or to brake lines...
I use a Buzzrack hitch mounted carrier, which works well for us. Quite a bit cheaper than similar carriers from Yakima etc, at the time I was shopping, but I've used it for 3 or 4 seasons and I'm happy with the quality.
Will techstream allow me to see if the knock sensor is retarding the timing? The more I think about it the more I think this is the first path to go down.
I enjoy working on cars and exploring shallow rabbit holes but.. my time is *kinda* limited and I have had only good experiences the local...
Thank you both for the comments. I haven't done anything yet. I have a v short commute and otherwise minimize the miles and use wife's or daughter's vehicles for errands, since I have that luxury until I have time to break out tools.
I plan to pull the plugs and confirm brand and gaps this...
Total disappointment lol...

2010 GX460 with ~225k miles, owned 10 years and it's been solid. Historically, the dealer has done any work beyond basic maintenance and I've been happy with them, but as I've modified the vehicle over the years I'm transitioning to a local Lexus/Toyota specialist. This shop repaired a newly...
Maaaybe don’t wait until it fails haha… my airbags went 160k miles before they started randomly deflating and I replaced bags and lines. At 200k had it all removed to lift the truck, and was just blown away at the improved ride. I’ve had two GXs now with airbags and honestly, it’s a better truck...
I actually recently had 285/70/17 put on my truck, using adj Dobinson MRR, ~3” lift springs, and SPC UCAs. Here are my thoughts…
Wanted less lift but those spring options had a longer lead time and I had plans. On top of my spring choice, I had a 2010 Premium with airbags and 200k miles. Many...
