I now average 21-24 MPG on my daily 12mile commute; which is a mix of city, HWY, and downtown driving. This morning's was 23.2MPG.
6700 miles.
In fact, I recently averaged from Denver to Silverton, CO 22MPG. Adding in three long days of trails...
Welp, I went ahead with the nori green three row. Pretty happy with it so far although the shortcomings remain. I may look at converting it into a two row if that process can be made to look OEM. It does have some big improvements over the 200...
Just got the emblem overlays. Took more time from the mailbox and opening the box then putting them on.
I think the outcome is 1000x better then the silver.
Anytime towing comes up, I love to sit back with popcorn and watch the s***show.
But don't worry, my camper will be here in a month or so, and I am going to push every limit... and probably exceed a few, LOL.
Quibbles:
-The gas tank. My bladder likes to stop every 2-3 hours, so the 250-300 miles of range really isn't a problem, but frequent fill ups are frustrating.
-gas mileage. First 800 miles saw 13-15mpg. Now at 1200 I'm finally starting to see...
Shadowfax being one of the mereras, the Lord of Horses in Tolkien's classic "Lord of the Rings" series, it seemed fitting that a quick, powerful, comfortable, and reasonably (artificially) intelligent mode of transportation that also happens to...
tranny temps are visible in a custom dash set up, (see left screen inside the tachometer). No specific numbers, but hot or cold.
And I find the back up camera quite adequate for aligning my balls...(pun fully intended)
I put my deposit for a 2-row today. Also refundable. I built a unit in the Lexus site and sent to the salesman. They told me about 6 months for arrival. The waiting game starts.
On a side note, I was watching one of the many OT reviews and this...
Yeah that doesn’t look fun to tow even with a longer wheelbase F150.
If the GVWR is 7,000 you are probably 800 to 1,000 (12.5% of 8,000) lbs on the tongue.
I would scale it. You may be overloaded on the rear axle or gvwr.
I would also highly...
I think the profile of a boat is far better for towing.
I’m glad your experience has been good!
The giant lunchbox I’m using in my testing for reference.
Just did my 5000lb boat towing experience. No problems, not squirrely at all, in fact it's one of the better tow rigs I've used (experience includes 1st and 2nd gen tundras, Yukon XL's, F250's) notwithstanding Canyonero's experience. Highway...
No horse in this race, but I'm keen on hearing about the 300-series tow performance. As one that tows on the upper end and past 200-series spec'd capacities, there might be some things that can improve the experience. For reference, I tow a 28'...
@eatSleepWoof I personally have found @Canyonero insights on towing very useful. I am a buyer who researches the hell out of everything before purchase, yet spec sheets and assumptions based on specs cannot win out over real life feedback. Hence...
It’s cute that you think I spend my time chasing likes. Meanwhile, you’re here chasing attention in a forum thread…about a vehicle you don’t own.
Nothing says credibility like debating real owners from your fantasy garage.
I’m not on...
If you do tow with the LX, I’d be interested to hear how it compares to your TRX. I do have a F150 raptor with the factory 37” tire package, and for me those towing differences are eye-opening.
Sure, it’s not ideal but we’ve done a few local trips with it and haven’t maxed out the cargo area yet. Even had a Yeti 45 on one trip for 5 of us and it worked out. Might be harder if someone overpacks or hardcore camps but we love the OT so far...
Some of us can’t really stomach that third row shelf solution poorly designed and removing it is far more complicated than the easy removal that we had in the 200s and even easier in the 100s. That said, I am leaning towards buying now and...
