A self leveling button similar to what the rivian has would be great. I mainly put it in low to reduce movement as well as to have easier access to the rear since we're all vertically challenged.
Yes, before I had a rack on it I used to remove them when I was washing the lx. That's how I found out that they trap a lot of stuff. Similar to the side plastics on the tail. Those things also trap a lot of stuff.
If this is their purpose, they don't work well. Every time I remove one of these, it's full of mud, dirt and leaves underneath. Where they're missing, the channel is comparably clean.
In my lx these things don't do a very good job of preventing build up of leaves and mud, if anything they make it worse. I restored to to not replacing the ones that fall off.
I understand. If you remove your rear rotors again, I would check the backing plate just in case. This isn't easy to see or very obvious unless you know what you're looking for.
The noise in the back might not have anything to do with the calipers. Perhaps it's the common rotor and shield making contact because of rust. This happens specially with aftermarket rotors but also with stock ones.
Bringing back an old thread. I didn't know that E&E offroading actually started manufacturing the clevis nuts. I just bought the last 2 but I'm glad someone is making them in case someone needs to reinforce their bumper attachments.
I received and installed a vision xl a couple of weeks ago. Haven't camped in it to test it out yet. I would've gotten their awning as well, but I already have the OVS one.
These are the ones that I got for mine. They come with a red back light that I wired to the tail lights (not the brake lights), though you can wire them to your brake lights or your turn signals.

How heavy is your tent. I believe the stock rack is only rated for around 150lbs. You mentioned that you have four crossbars. These won't be flat because of the curvature of the side rails so it might affect the mounting of the RTT.
