Here's what i did for my ammeter replacement...just a voltmeter i extracted and made fit in the cluster, with some re-wiring it went without a hitch. not perfect, but it works, and is backlit pretty nice at night
i should mention one option i thought of, but didn't go through with was the more purest approach of taking the core out of the new unit and popping it into the old heater box...the core was just a little thicker, but i probably could have stuffed it in there...but that new box seemed to fit in...

here is my dodge caravan seat install... the caravan seat comes with many car seat tie downs ready to go. Putting the car seat/booster in the middle, i can use the seat belts that came with the seat.

to add to the same question cruiser10 was asking...can i use my bj42 original t-case? giving things a quick look i see there is a longer housing between the 5-speed and the t-case from the BJ60 (yr1985). Be it much smaller, there is a housing between the 4-speed and the t-case on the BJ42...
