I came across a decent LX470,150K,looks nice,however,the dealer is selling the thing"as is",it will not upshift from second gear...goes smooth 1-2 and reverse,no unusual noises,no grinding or slipping,for some reason will not upshift,any ideas,common problem?,I can get it cheap if its worth...

I have been thinking about it...might be the parking brake drum loose,inside the rotor,cannot see it however,thats how it sounds,like a can with marbles.

I dont think so...brand new tires,however sound comes from inside,like wheel bearing area,inside the locker,it has lockers.

I just got a "bargain" 99LC,very clean,1 owner.After 500 miles of driving,only issue noticed is a noisy rattle from the drivers side rear wheel/brake disc area.Truck has new brake pads,or at least 90%...however if I go over a small bump or two something rattles in the rear wheel area.I checked...
