    link suspension opinions...

pretty sure about that, before I put the fourth link on i articulated it to full articulation to check for binding because of the placement of the chassis side link mount and it didnt falter. moved it side to side and it didnt want to fall at all. do the math Cowboy and the geometry and then...

    link suspension opinions...

mase, I am not trying to be mean, but have you ever done a link set up? It is not the same if a four link breaks one of the links. if that happens then you have a three link setup, tadah! There is a thing called vertical seperation that keeps the axle from turning which is called axle wrap...

    link suspension opinions...

i am doing the same project right now, but i am almost finished. I went through 3 different link set ups for the front and rear. the best set up I came up with was four link front and rear. my stance is higher because i didnt move my engine back. are you going to run pinnion brakes, because...

    Proffitts 4-Link - OOPS

i read your build post and it doesnt seem like you know what kinda of powertrain you will be using, you might want to figure that out first so you can get the length of your engine, tranny, and t-case so you will know how long your drive shaft might be. after you have that figured out then you...

    Proffitts 4-Link - OOPS

also, what are you going to use as suspension( coilovers, coils, 1/4 eliptical? depending on all of them you may have clearance issues. the frame rails of the fj go from narrow to wide if you look at the front of the frame to the rear. if you run coilovers you may have to notch out the...

    Proffitts 4-Link - OOPS

it will work as long as you get your drive shaft lengthened and you will have to radial your fenders, most likely competition style.

I finally finished backhalving my cruiser today and linking it up to the rockwell. It only took me 3 different configurations of link set ups to get it right. the hardest part was trying to get the links to converge in the middle of the axle without getting in the way of the drive line. I...

    40" Super Swamper LTB

... there are good tires, its just every once and awhile you get one that will peel the outside layer of rubber on the tread, but interco will replace it if you keep your reciept. but for the price they are a great tire. not as good in my opinion as iroks but a good offroad tire all around.
