Ok, I have done a bit of searching on this and there doesn't appear to be much consensus. My 1996 FZJ80 only serves part time duty. It has 160k on it. I have noticed that when it sits for few weeks it will have a knock when I start it up. It will misfire like it is only running on 5...

I guess I was wrong on the dates of death of my batteries. Bought first one 09/2009, died and replaced on 04/2011. Battery #2 died today. So I am getting about 20 months out of them. According to my receipt, the warranty does NOT reset, so the original purchase date applies to 36 month...

Battery #3 crapped today. I had to check this thread to see how long it lasted. I guess I get a new battery every year out of the deal. I do not think it is worth it. The Cruiser must start when told.

I just finished this today. The hoses that tee off to the rear heater (from the main 5/8" hoses) are 1/2" ID. I did the same fix shown above that basically "jumpered" the tees together. I am going to replace the rear lines as some point, so this is a stop-gap measure for now.

Forgive me, as I am going to do this for a stop-gap measure until I replace the rear lines (cold here). What size is the smaller hose that splits off to the rear heater as shown, not the 5/8" main hose? Thanks
