Team - found some connectors…installed the painless kit….100% solved my random no start after full week of hot driving. Did 2100 miles from ATX to flagstaff very hot never once did it not start after long runs in the heat and inclines…new relays and new Denso starter didn’t fix it…
I thought it would ensure you get +12V to the starter(my starter is 2months old) due to old degraded wires affected by Texas heat…my no start only occurs randomly when it’s really hot🤷
And I don’t plan to replace wiring harness…
i have this issue too...but sounds like click from the tension on the rod to the booster...almost like it needs to just barely pass over a kink...then its fine...no noise...
were you able to solve?
Thanks for azimuth check! You’re right about temps changing start ups…had a 75ish day this week and it sounded different…I could hear the motor adjust to find the right idle…I’ll just enjoy these good running days🙌

The old Aisin mod fan locked up just fine and was essentially on 24/7…
Just added a brand new Aisin hd blue clutch fan (not modded) and still no ROAR…
I don’t have over heating issue and the Car runs great just weird that it stopped doing it🤔

Reason for the question, I installed a blue Aisan hub less than a year old with 20k fluid swap on my ‘93 fzj80. It use to “Roar” however 3months ago it stopped roaring BUT...
It’s been a few months and just wanted to confirm that the new OEM sending unit had solved all my random shut off issues to date!
the culprit was the electrical connections in the sending unit…first the ground but also there was corrosion on the leads inside the epoxy - I tried to reseal but...
really weird...i disconnected the fuseable links to inspect them...they looked great (they're brand new a month old)...put everything back together and it fired right up?
maybe a bad connection and when i messed around with the wires it sorted stuff out...anyways, we'll see how the rest of...
well just tested +B and now not getting 12V with the key on🤦🏻♂️
CEL is lighting up, so not an ERI Relay issue🤔
Thoughts? going through the fuses currently...
