I am looking for a hood a drivers door, and a drivers side panel for the hardtop for a 1979 fj40 I don't need the glass or any hardware. My door is banged up do to a roll over. Same with the hood. thanks Nathan

Anyone know the measurements for the I6/ 4speed trans and bellhousing. I measured as best i could and counting the motor(no accessories), the bellhousing and the trans i got 48" give or take a couple. Nate

aa does not list an adapter, but i spoke with one of their sales guys and he said the have one that will work. The length numbers that i posted are for the case only, not with the adapter.

according to advanced adapters the aod is 20.5" long the th400 is 21.5" long and the 700r4 is 23.5" long

putting a manual trans in the mustang and had the auto left over so i thought what the hell

i'm not sure how long the setup is i have not measured it yet. Do you think that an ls1 with a th400 would be a better setup. Teh aod is a lentech strip unit that i used in my 9 sec mustang. The only downside is that it is a full manual valvebody though

I found a kit from advanced adapters. It is not listed in their catalogs, but they do have it. i will keep you posted with updates. Thanks for all the help Nathan

i did a search and only found one thread, but it didn't really give any info on the conversion at all. I think i would just need an adapter for an aod to the fj transfer case

SBF AOD Conversion HELP!! I'm new to the site and just had a few questions. Is there anybody that has installed a SBF and an AOD in a FJ40, if there is i would appreciate any help. Nate
