    Looks like you made a yellow to yellow splice Which I didn’t read anywhere to do. Is that needed?

    Yes. As far as the bypass I connected the speaker in/out. 4 pairs. Then on the orange connector I spliced the gray/gray White/white.

    Nakamichi Update - '99 LX 470

    99 LX 470 with Nakamichi stereo. I swapped the head unit as well as bypassed the amp, but I still have engine whine. I noticed on the harness my yellow/constant wire doesn’t work with the white/pin one wire. It does Turn on when I use pin2/white with the yellow/constant wire. Could this be my issue?

    99 lx470 nakamichi to aftermarket head unit

    So I installed an aftermarket head unit while retaining the factory amp and speakers. I used the RCA pre-outs to the amp inputs. I’m currently getting engine wine when the engine is on.
