do i need the charcoal canister?

other then emissions is the CC needed, i thought i read somewhere that with no CC installed you could have issues if you drove up down different elevations, is their a performance hit for having not having it or is this purely emissions?

    Distributor Re Install

re installed dizzy again using TDC not BB, wouldn't start, assuming I was on an exhaust stroke and not compression stroke, instead of removing dizzy and setting to TDC I moved that spark plug wires 360 around the dizzy, it started on first try, no misfires, but does not seem to be accelerating...

    Distributor Re Install

I tore the head off the bolt that clamps down the dizzy after setting the timing, pulled out the dizzy and was able to drill out bolt successfully. I recently picked up an 87 fj60, waiting for parts to get in to build a smoker and verify I don't have any vaccum leaks, but thinking of ordering the Weber kit off of man a fre, why are they advertising better mpg and hp, then order a rebuild kit for the current aisan, supposedly PO had it...
