You are correct, sorry for the confusion and allegations. I assessed the transaction incorrectly and assumed the worst from the source i reached out to. Wasn't aware of this having been an issue on this platform until after the fact.

Looks like the smart play is to buy local or new only in the future as it seems there are more and more cases of scams and fraud daily. My apologies to @nikramos for the confusion and thanks to everyone else for pointing out the obvious once more.
