I don't have my sienna switch anymore, but I believe it used the regular bulb (the switch housing has a little round plastic cover on the side -- unscrew to replace the bulb)... so, not polarized and would work either way. Bulb may be burned out. Could try an ohm (resistance) test on those two...
Was wondering if anyone noticed any problems with atrac handling the larger front gx460 calipers installed on a 470. Seems the larger pistons require more slightly fluid to move -- does this create any noticeable change in how the atrac computer manages wheel spin up front? Less effective or...
I have it installed -- that kit is marketed to address two problems -- lean and contact. I purchased it for the rear -- it prevents the trackbar from contacting the left kdss/sway bar mount. I also didn't want the kdss shock to be over extended from full droop in the left rear corner when using...
The business that sold the radio will sometimes provide you links for the updates if you ask them. Joying, Wondefoo, Zohongnavi, etc. You just have to ask -- seems they don't provide public pages (except maybe Joying).
I finally finished my rear quarter window install. Got too busy last summer, but finally had time this last weekend. I was originally going to use the Sienna switch route -- I posted that pic w/ the wiring and the grinding. But, changed my mind. Really didn't want to grind up the switch console...
I'm working on putting the switch in the left cluster.
The switch "button" itself is the same size as other switches.. it's just the switch body is too big.
I did have to do some significant grinding to make this work, but it's just about ready. Upside down pic, but you get the idea.
That's the same switch I have -- it'll look really nice w/ the other gx470 switches.
I didn't realize you didn't have the wiring harness with the pin numbers -- this is what I found:
It depends on the power location, and the type of switch. And really, the switch location too.
If power is in the rear, and if you use relays in the rear, you could do it with just two wires and your Sienna switch -- one for each relay coil (and ground to truck). And, those wires would be small...
Same challenges here -- where to put the switch. The later model Sienna switches "look" like regular 4r/gx switches -- kinda round on the button edge. But, they mount differently -- they're a little bigger. I really want my switch mounted in that switch cluster to the left of the steering wheel...
With that particular Sienna switch, you still need some way to change the polarity. As an earlier poster observed, the motors do not share a common ground, and reversing is only accomplished via a polarity change.
So, if you want to use those vent motors, you either need a different kind of...
I'm working on the same project :)
I'm using a solid state device instead of relays, but same idea -- use the Sienna switch to open/close both windows by wiring motors in parallel and changing polarity to operate the motors.
There are a few different versions of the Sienna switch, but they...
Fwiw, there are built in stops, but there is not an electronic switch at the limits. The motor will continue to draw power at the end at max open/close (like the door windows).
