Looking for LC stock or stock-like front torsion bars for my 2001 LX470 suspension conversion. Already have the stock rear springs so I don't want some really heavy duty front torsion bars that will jack up the front end in comparison. Used stock is preferred. In PA area. Thanks.
I appreciate the sentiment to just replace the line with a new one. However, I spent an hour in the local Lexus parts department this afternoon and the clerk couldn't figure out what line this was. His parts diagram wasn't very helpful and he was very apologetic. I told him I'd look into it more...
I've finally got a suspension leak in my 2001 LX. The underside has always been a little rusty (from when I bought it) and one of the the lines has finally sprung a leak. It is the big 1/2in line running along the frame rail right under the driver's seat. See pic below. You can even see the...
I like the design of the Ram mounts but it would annoy me way too much needing to use two hands to put my phone in the mount. I want to be able to do everything with one hand.
That's why I use these on all of my cars (although I haven't put one in the LX yet).

Quick question on tire sizing. I have an LX with the stock size of 275/70/16. I am currently running Yokohama Geolandar AT-S that are getting to be pretty beat. I think I'm fairly sold on the new BFG KO2s. However, I'm wondering what size I should get. A few months ago, there was only the one...

I thought it was available for both. It appears to be the same design just with a different key blank so I'm surprised it wasn't available from the start. If it isn't available yet, perhaps a few emails would speed them up.
Instead of dealing with replacement housings that will keep breaking, just get an Eternity key. I think mine was something like 60 bucks, cut and guts transferred, from the dealer. Lifetime warranty and you'll never have to worry about it again.
This is the exact reason. The same thing is happening with the 350Z vs the G35 and the other examples where the premium make is nearly the same thing as the basic make. People just forget that it exists or automatically discount it thinking that they can't afford it.
When I bought my LX, I...
I think that speaks to how good of a vehicle they are when they are running. I've worked on them and driven them and they are great driving vehicles. I put them in the same category as a bunch of other luxury vehicles such as Audi: if you can afford to drop it off at the dealership along with a...
Yeah, I wasn't thinking. That Camry key won't work with the LX. I'm guessing that aftermarket is the only way to go. At least my dealership is pretty reasonable with the cutting cost.
Do you have the receipt? I'd like to know what part number key they used. I recently had two keys made at the dealership. First was an Eternity Key replacement for my remote key. Cost me ~65 bucks. Second time I asked for a non-remote master key and they made me a valet key. I had some...
