Personally, I wouldn't think the effort was worth it unless you installed an OM 648. If you want torque, you want that motor. 648 would eat the tires up on an E Class. 617, 601,2 and 3, well, not so much. 606? yawn. I'm an MB tech since the 1978 300 SD came out
