    Thanks to DCI Blair

Not a member of this group as I am out of state. But wanted to post a sincere thanks for member DCI Blair of Tommy's Automotive. I have been searching religiously for an LC and I found a terrific 80 Series 40th Anniversary in PA but, being out of state, I needed an expert to check it out for...

Has anyone purchased a 1st gen Sequoia with the frame replaced?

I am in near New Haven but Valenti in Mystic did the work per the specs above. It is roughly the same as the 07 deal you describe. Appealing low, 98k miles for an 06 1st gen Sequoia SR5. They did do alot of work but I cannot tell if what they left is so rusted as to make this not worth it.

This is obviously for those of you in the salt belt. Curious as to how to evaluate a Sequoia (or Tundra) that had the frame replaced under the recall. It is an extensive job (see attached list) but they obviously do not do everything. Is it even worth considering a truck like this -- all...

Nice!. I may be missing something on the dates and mileage though -- you put 26K miles on it since February of 18?

Need some advice - is this surface rust or something worse?

Whether I get this one or not, it seems evident that living in the Northeast (CT) one MUST treat the undercarriage (before serious rust - if a western purchased LC - or after some restoration, if already rusted). This is not going to be a garage queen, although it will likely only be used on...

not nearby but not obscenely far either -- thanks for this!

immaculate otherwise and mechanically is in great shape (although I note bushing issue identified above). It really is the rust that is holding me up. 160K miles.
