Got my Aisin fan clutch installed this weekend, took the LC for a couple 20 minute drives on the freeway, all is good. I may take the old fan clutch apart, just to check out, and get familiar with, if I decide to modify the new one.

I’m wondering just how accurate my dash gauge really is. The engine itself is not showing any sign of overheating, like bubbling in the overflow tank or anything. I wish the coolant sensor on the block, was easier to get to.

Do you happen to have any info on a temp monitoring setup for OBD1?

So far I have replaced everything that “needed” to be replaced. The radiator was leaking. The hoses were old, as was the thermostat. After I replaced those parts and drove it around, I found the water pump leaking at the weep hole, so I then replaced it. The fan clutch is definitely the original...

I guess now, I just have to decide on which fan clutch to buy? 🤔

Ok, my radiator was starting to weep, so I ordered a new Toyota radiator, and was topping off coolant. My wife was just using for dropping kids off at school, but she went a bit further and LC overheated. I had her shut it off when she called. Replaced radiator, thermostat, hoses, and water...

Changed my belts today, could have been done in about forty minutes, but I did some extensive cleaning. There was a lot of gunk, from the residuals of my leaking power steering pump. (Which I swapped out several months ago).

So I’m going to order a new pump from Norwalk Toyota. The pump 44320-60182, o-ring 90301-73004, but the high pressure gasket 44327-30030, says it’s not the right part. Does anyone know the correct part # for a 94FZJ80? I would call, but I’m told I won’t get the same online pricing.

Well, I was getting ready to tackle this job with a reman, but have decided on heeding CDan’s advice, and will be returning this pump for a new one. 😉
