Guide to GX 460 Builds and Aftermarket Products

@TX GX460, i think there may be a mix up with the Kaon links posted up top. The Kaon website shows a Light Cargo Roof Shelf (the tray style that hangs below and parallel to the roofline) and a Light Cargo Pet Barrier (vertical pet barrier parallel to and above the 2d row seat back.) "Cargo...

MPG (again, I know, sorry!): hand calculated results for stock(ish) LC200s?

Thanks to all. Based on all this + fuelly, I think it's reasonable to hope for 12-14mpg in town, 15- maybe 17mpg highway with a stock-ish setup.

MPG (again, I know, sorry!): hand calculated results for stock(ish) LC200s?

@afgman786, thanks. "18mpg or so on road trips. Averaging around 80mph." That is astonishingly good. Beyond the 93 octane, were you running pizza cutters, hard compund rubber, high tire psi, a pedal commander (I have doubts about this gadget, but some say it helps...), or anything special to...

MPG (again, I know, sorry!): hand calculated results for stock(ish) LC200s?

Thanks, all. @Itsky, that is hugely informative. Thanks. Interestingly, your stats suggest that 91 octane does not appreciably improve MPG. @bloc, thanks. I am familiar with and have been to fuelly. The results there, for unknown reasons, have not matched up all that well with my hand...

MPG (again, I know, sorry!): hand calculated results for stock(ish) LC200s?

Folks, Sorry if I am straining people's patience with another MPG thread. I have scoured the threads here, and also looked far and wide on the Internet. I am shopping for an LC 200 (possibly LX570), 2010-2014 (pre 8 speed). Mine will be a daily driver/utility rig/mild overland build. Stock...

    Shady dealer...Help?

mmleehr, Get a second opinion! If you can tell us where you are at (SWPA?), it is quite possible Mud members can give you some leads on a good independent mechanic or a trusted dealer to evaluate the troubles with your new ride.

Value of 2010 39,000 mile Cruiser

In my opinion, a 2010 LC200 would likely not be accepted by BAT for auction. It is nowhere near old enough, rare enough or special enough. BAT is very selective about what they accept for auction. If you go to the Bring a Trailer website, you can easily search current and completed...

For Sale Most recent 200 Series purchase prices

I am in an active search while I finish up a RAM lease. Your mileage cap of 75k and wanting an LC200 over an LX570 thins out the herd of candidates. As a datapoint, I have seen multiple 2013 and 2014 year LC200s advertised with around 80k miles and asking prices in the high 30s.

Good call Chewbacca. That was one lousy CarFax.

The dealership also kindly added a $599 "delivery and handling fee" to the price. I suggest refusing to pay that if you go forward with that rig. And, Chewbacca, not sure if you saw but the same dealership also has a 2010 LX, 130k miles, asking 25k. Excellent Oklahoma Lexus dealership service...

For Sale Most recent 200 Series purchase prices

I think I have it right. I went to the car on the dealership website and followed the CarFax link. https://www.stevinsonlexusoflakewood.com/search/pre-owned-lexus-lx-570-lakewood-co/?cy=80401&md=194&mk=33&tp=pre_owned Hope this helps.

Chewbacca, As I am sure you saw, the CarFax shows a total of three accidents in 2017. Did you get details on those accidents and the repairs? Also, the CarFax suggests that it was traded in right around 60k. Call me pessimistic, but I am somewhat doubting that the Lexus dealer did the whole...

Finishes used for Cargo Storage Boxes

For a DIY alternative to Line-X or RhinoLiner, you might consider Herculiner. It is available at big box autopart stores or online. Roll on/brush on application. I believe the texture is by way of ground up rubber in the mix. I have done two full size pickup beds with it and, as long as you...
