    RFI-JDM 100 Series frame replacement

New home in KC! Fellow Kansas Citian here, I haven't seen any good used frames that aren't already on good trucks here. A while ago there was a part out on Facebook for a 100 series, but I believe it was so due to rust anyways. Most LX/LC parts I see on Facebook are 80 series and older...

Installation of my rear OEM Tire Carrier

Been thinking of doing something similar since I've done the same 'oem rear tire carrier' type job to my Isuzu. Looks great, and probably the best one by far in my opinion. How did you setup your angle iron on the inside of the panels - any photos you happen to have from installation?

LX470 Interior Color Codes & Mismatching leather replacement

I've gotten a sample swatch of the leather colors from Ridies, and found their grey matched my seat grey quite well. In fact, their cognac/orange matched the tan leather in my Miata better than any I've seen so far.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I have the same headunit! Actually installed it a few months ago - how/where did you route the microphone? And did you get the wiring for the mic to tuck in well?

    Rust worth the purchase

I paid $5200 for 272k miles, and similar amount of rust here in the midwest. (Kansas/Missouri)

Basic but important question on Overdrive (OD)

OD gear is #4, when starting from a stop - you'll start in 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd, and lastly 4th. The transmission will select the gear based on your throttle position and the speed you're going, so if you're going up a hill and push more onto the pedal, you'll notice a downshift from...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

New fog lights/turn signals, and a comparison to the original ones. I also installed a new headunit, but seems like connections for the front left speaker and rear right speaker are loose.

Oil change intervals with synthetic oil?

My '22 Impreza with the FB20 engine has got 23k miles or so with no oil burning issues, same for my mom's 2021 Forester. We do have a 2016 Forester that my sister drives and she's burning about a quart per 1000 miles, at 90k miles on the car. The 2016 I'm sure has 'extended' a few too many oil...

Tilt and Telescope function stop working

If both are out at the same time, I'd check for continuity on the switch. Otherwise, check the screws, motors, and slider/bushings. I had to replace the slider, bushing, and the retainer for the telescoping functionality.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I love how those look, and have also been seriously considering that wheel/tire setup, how does the spare fit and did you need any spacers or no?

    Loose door Handles

I obtained mine from RockAuto - so you can get chrome ones from them, though to paint them, you may need to do a bit more prep or remove the chrome.

    Loose door Handles

I've replaced a passenger door handle after the body was loose on the OEM handle. New one is more firm and tighter while the OEM was loose like you say. New one is chrome, while all OEM handles are paint-matched black to the car. Going to go with new ones all around since the paint is chipping...

Immobilizer Help- Would a New Toyota Key from Dealer Fix the Issue?

so I've opened up the two modules that have spliced into presumably the immobilizer wiring. Neither had a valet/master key chip in them. One PCB had no branding, the other was an iDatalink ADS-TB... which when googled shows up as an immobilizer bypass/remote start kit for the LX470. Still no...

    3rd seat removal LC100

What do you mean even with tailgate up? Tailgate should be irrespective of the process to remove the 3rd row. From memory, you get the set folded and to the rear where it will 'lock' into the closed position. Then underneath the rear foot of the seat is a metal bar you pull to unlock the seat...

    New Member - 2002 LX470 Roast Me

I believe my keys in the ignition are seen as 'unrecognized' but I'll need to hook up tech stream as soon as this sub-zero temps blow over to confirm. I got some fobs from ebay and got them programmed even with the unrecognized keys. (though they're poor quality replacements, since the only...
