not likely I have done a great amount of PPIs on German vehicles and aside from indications i.e. shiny bits or something else I can see or hear it is invisible unless the trans mission bellhousing has an inspection plate which most don't anymore.. regardless of torquing they get a small bit of...
After re-reading.... you bring up a very valid point!! Looking at all the 5x150 drums max load is 3.5 and my Conqueror is max about 5k... this is an issue.. thankfully I still have my 6 lug equipment and am glad I haven't experienced a bad situation.
Just got to Etrailer and buy the right drums for your diameter and brake shoe width. My previous Conqueror was converted to Jeep 5 lug, I changed the drums to Toyota 6 lug to match the GX470.
Another trail tip is if you buy a cheap lug adapter for LC 200 5 lug to Toyota 6 lug can get you out...
Yes I was (neg rake) between 7.8 and 10 MPG.. but I don't give damn about MPG, I'm realistic . So added 500LBS in Fuel and the trailer would be ridiculous... I have bought a KDSS kit to compensate for lifts, and XHD Dobinson rear springs (1100 lbs constant). the end goal is to compensate for...
I am fairly new to the LC 200 and tow a 4k lbs Conqueror UEV490. Just purchased a 40 gal LRA tank, and a wholesale auto trans cooler. The truck already has front/rear bars, winch, Dobinson's 3" lift etc. Extremely well taken care of, I got it at 82k and just rolled 100k. We do 6-8k mile trips...
I'm really interested in your setup. Can you post some pics. I have a 2019 lc200 with JBL, it's just OK. My 09 gx470 I did a full gut and rebuild 3 pdx amps, audio controldsp and vocals, and hertz it took me a while but turned out excellent. Thanks in advance
Yes a shroud makes a huge difference. The goal would/should be to match but not crazily exceed the CFM that the factory fan pulls,. Being too much cooling or running significantly cold , it sounds good but don't forget that the radiator is heat exchanger for the transmission and heats the trans...
The hardest part about any new model or body-style in demand is you will probably not be able to order your own spec for a while. Currently Dominion Lexus in SATX told me, If you put a deposit on one of the first deliveries, you can give them your preferences and they will "try their best to...
I have a 2009 470 and a 2021 460. I have explored replacing the factory belt driven fan. so far i cant find any reliable vendors (Chinese crap mostly). To be effective across multiple climates we need a solution that can perform in multiple climates for example: S. Texas where I live long...
Sure but why bother? To change the front diff for no gain the FJ diff has the same characteristics as the gx one and the same weaknesses and strengths to the best of my knowledge. The only gains would be "newer" "lower miles"... and ADD if that could be sorted... however the front diffs in IFS...
I see that and hear the it "feels like" I get it, especially when something is upgraded everything seems to work better. Here is a thread from GX OR where the Overlord himself spared no expence with DT headers, race, high flow cats and full exhaust ment to give the most....he had it dyno'd...
The front diff from the FJ has ADD (automatic differential disconnect) a friend and I were just talking about this. ADD in an FJ works like this; in 2wd the ADD is "off meaning no front driveline getting power. Once the FJ is shifted into 4HI the ADD actuator (vacuum controled) moves a collar...
Sorry, there may be small gains but there are no giant gains in exhaust as a rule (generally). I know the overlord shaped his and did an extensive high flow cats custom everything and did not gain anything notable. I would like to change mine out too, more for avoidance of the manifold crack...
I like it a lot, but the site doesn't tell you how much it weighs, I think it is made out of aluminum which is awesome! I just would like more options and information, I'm on board especially for a rear tire caring model out of aluminum!!!!!!!
