None of them fit perfectly, but all were easy to retrofit. Used a dremmel to cut out the back of the plastic housing and replaced the screws with longer reach to fix the kicker to the door itself... Plus a little gorilla glue. For the fronts, the 5.25 inch stocks have exceptionally large frames...
Replaced the speakers all around with 6" polks in front and 4" kickers in rear (before swapping the head unit). Going to add a hidden corner panel shallow sub in the back down the road...but for now, sounds good as all get out anyhow. The pioneer pushes much better power/sound through.
So the power/sport drive button quit functioning ( neither the light comes on not the engine gets the same pep in her step...). Any ideas on the best place to start before tracing electrical components?
Here's the unit and mic. Haven't used the advanced apps yet as I need to pick up a bigger data cable. But the bluetooth music and calling have been great.
Thanks all. Finally faced the fact that the compressors we had weren't going to finish the job, so got the mechanic to help out after all and then finished her off with some good lookin MTs.
Just wanted to share - if you're not opposed to modernizing the interior tech of your fzj80, I just put a Pioneer p8400bh double din in place of the old head unit. Bluetooth calls, music, and iPhone app/nav functionality without having to trim or adjust the dash framing whatsoever. Perfect fit...
