New oil seals on my 94

I'd like to attempt to change my rear axle oil seals & maybe wheel bearings on my 94 cruiser, (discs and manual parking brake). Have had a lot of trouble with the adjustment of the parking brake and have discovered I have an oil leak in one side. So was only operational on one side. This...

Rough idle and stall running on petrol?

My mechanic has fixed this problem. Turns out that the MAS can be adjusted by taking the black cover off the top. Apparently there is an adjustment for cold running and one for hot. It's a bit of mucking around to get it right but it certainly worked. All the research I've done in forums, I have...

Rough idle and stall running on petrol?

Thanks for the ideas, Dave. I have a new fuel filter to fit but haven't been game to tackle it. P**k of a place for it! The MAS is OK but I am having the mechanic checking the fuel pump and associated fuel pressure. Injector guy also mentioned the coolant temperature sensor. Do you know where it...

Rough idle and stall running on petrol?

G'day, I have a 94 model 1FZFE 80 series on LPG and petrol. Been having trouble with running on petrol the last few months. Has got to the stage where it stalls on idle when running on petrol. It runs perfectly on LPG (idling as well). Indicates no electrical problems. When I first noticed the...

    BBBBbbbbbbrrrrrr vibration.Could shocks cause this?

Been to the shop and they have no explanation of what the vibration could be. When I mentioned a lack of grease on the spindle bushes they assured me the mechanic who did the job woudn't have neglected to grease these.... There is no way they'd pull it apart as a warranty issue on account...

Can anyone post a link to a picture, showing where and how to access the spindle Spindle Bushings.

    BBBBbbbbbbrrrrrr vibration.Could shocks cause this?

Do you think that running dry for a period is very detrimental to the long term wear of the other components? Any permanent damage to the spindle? I will go to the shop tomorrow and see what they say and post later their explanation. mmmmmmmmmmm :wrench:

    BBBBbbbbbbrrrrrr vibration.Could shocks cause this?

Yes, but if it's the spindle bushings, wouldn't there be vibration noises more frequently! The noise is so intermittent...... Yesterday it happened once in 80 Kms of driving. If it is the spindle bushings, is it a major to get grease in there?

    BBBBbbbbbbrrrrrr vibration.Could shocks cause this?

If the Spindle Bushings are anything to do with the birfields' setup, I have had them done. Paid around $AUS 1600.00 for the job. Just as a point of interest, I drove the vehicle to work today, 40 kilometres each way. The vibration raised its head at 50 kms an hour 3/4 of the way through the...

    BBBBbbbbbbrrrrrr vibration.Could shocks cause this?

After installing offset caster bushes, I'm getting an intermittent loud BBrrrrr vibration noise in the front end. The sound is like you are running over a ripple strip, designed to slow you down when entering a slower speed zone! I have had a wheel alignment done and the numbers came out...

I declare that I'm no expert. That's why I try to learn from this forum but the guy who did the wheel alignment said to

Stop that squeeking! Just installed poly bushings. Was told to use plenty of grease on the outside. No grease when pressing them in though!
